Lang Freeman is a producer/ engineer/ mixer/ artist/ songwriter and composer living and working out of Austin TX.  As frontman and principle songwriter for the band Sounds Under Radio, Lang has lived the life of both major label recording artist as well as DIY independent.  With albums and songs released on EPIC Records, EMI and Universal Music, Sounds Under Radio found a nichè in the tv/film licensing world with placements in major motion pictures like Spider Man 3, The Wolfman, Cowboys And Aliens as well as in major network televisions shows like The Vampire Diaries, The Real World and American Idol. 

As a touring musician/side man Lang has traveled the globe fronting Sounds Under Radio, holding down sideman guitar duties with Ed Kowalczyk from the multi platinum band LIVE, Dustin Kensrue of THRICE as well as indie rock band The Rocketboys and countless others. 

As a composer, Lang has penned scores for both feature length films (3 Days) and award winning shorts (Where The Red Fox Lies, Solely, Jezebel, As He Said Goodbye, West Of Leona, etc) while also composing custom music for advertising (clients including Dell Computers and AMD).

Lang owns and operates a personal studio in Austin TX called ‘FOLSUR Recording’ which began as a simple overdub facility for remote session work as well as his own creative projects, but has over the years grown in to a work space for larger scale production and recording of outside artists, mixing, writing, score composition for film and commercials as well as providing various other audio post production services.  Having made records in dingy makeshift garages studios, multi-million dollar facilities and every imaginable place in between, Lang has a unique perspective in to production, record making and the creative process as a whole.
